About the OAND:

The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) is the professional association representing Ontario’s licensed naturopathic doctors. Our mission is to advance the profession, advocate for health equity, and foster innovation and sustainability in integrative healthcare.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a strategic, values-driven leader for a 12-month contract (Full-Time) to serve as the Director of Impact, Culture and Corporate Stewardship. This cross-functional role is responsible for elevating OAND’s impact through partnerships, storytelling, and funding, while championing a strong, inclusive organizational culture. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in corporate engagement, grant writing, event leadership, and organizational development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Impact & Grant Development

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive corporate fundraising package, including sponsorship tiers, strategic messaging, and engagement tools.
  • Identify, write, and manage grant proposals that align with OAND’s strategic goals and programmatic priorities.
  • Develop and manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and lead the creation of OAND’s Annual Impact Report, ensuring a compelling and data-driven narrative.
  • Collaborate across teams to gather data, success stories, and member outcomes that showcase the value and impact of the naturopathic profession.

Corporate Stewardship

  • Build and implement a corporate stewardship process, including outreach, relationship management, reporting, and recognition strategies.
  • Strengthen long-term partnerships and sponsorships that align with OAND’s values, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainability.

Event Leadership

  • Design and lead all aspects of a high-profile gala event, including concept development, stakeholder engagement, programming, vendor coordination, and sponsor integration.
  • Ensure the event reflects the mission, values, and professional spirit of the OAND community.

Organizational Culture & Engagement

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen organizational culture across the board of directors, internal team, and member base.
  • Facilitate inclusive, collaborative processes that reinforce shared values, professional excellence, and a sense of belonging.
  • Develop tools and frameworks to support positive governance, internal communication, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on internal cultural initiatives, change management, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit leadership, corporate partnerships, communications, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven success in grant writing and fund development for mission-based organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing large-scale events, especially galas or sponsor-driven gatherings.
  • Strong skills in impact reporting, narrative development, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track record of leading or supporting organizational culture initiatives at the board, staff, or community level.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, naturopathic medicine, or membership-based associations is an asset but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within tight deadlines.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Working Conditions:

This position is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. Work time and work schedule is flexible with staff being accessible and available Monday through Friday (9 am to 5 pm ET).

The work location is remote, work from home. Occasional overnight travel (less than 10%) is required.  Some weeknight and weekend work are required.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires sitting/standing at a desk/laptop for long periods of time, during which breaks may be taken as needed. When working at conferences, packing of materials, lifting/moving boxes, and set-up of booths is required.
