Sonia Upadhya
Director, Impact, Culture & Corporate Stewardship
Sonia Upadhya is an experienced and thoughtful leader with a strong background in program development, fund generation, stakeholder engagement, human resources, and financial planning. As the Director of Impact, Culture & Corporate Stewardship at the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), she is committed to identifying new opportunities for the naturopathic profession while strengthening the Association’s financial health, partnerships, and strengthening internal operations to ensure long-term sustainability and growth.
Sonia brings over 15 years of leadership experience across the nonprofit, health, and community sectors, with a consistent focus on impact and innovation. Her approach is grounded in collaboration, equity, and accountability—ensuring that every initiative is not only strategic but also values-aligned. She has led high-performing teams, overseen complex funding portfolios, and designed programs that empower both professionals and communities.
She attended Toronto Metropolitan University for business, completed executive education at the Schulich School of Business, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Beyond her professional work, Sonia has a deep love of learning. She finds joy in exploring science, space, and philosophy through books and podcasts—but her greatest joy is the time she spends with her young daughter, whose laughter, curiosity, and sense of wonder remind her every day of what truly matters.
