Louise Stratford

Director, Public Member

Louise is a lawyer from Toronto who pursued a career in the Ontario Public Service and retired in 2016.  She worked as Deputy Legal Director for the Ministry of Health and Legal Director for various other ministries before becoming the Public Guardian and Trustee for Ontario and then Assistant Deputy Attorney General, where she developed a passion for working to protect the interests of vulnerable adults.  Since her retirement, Louise has served as Chair of the Board for a non-profit long-term care home and a community agency providing in-home personal care support for seniors.    Louise brings to the OAND a strong background in governance and policy and program development, and a keen interest in seeking to advance the interests of older adults in the health care system.
