Announcing our new and improved IVIT Certification Course!
Thanks to our new partnership with the Centre of Excellence in Integrative Medicine, all lecture-style course content is now online and on-demand for your convenience. We have several in-person safety measures in place. We even have a back-up plan if public health rules forbid us from holding the hands-on portions of the course this Fall.
The IVIT Certification Course is designed to ensure Naturopathic Doctors have the competency to safely and effectively compound sterile products for IV administration, obtain vascular access, and administer IV infusion therapeutics to patients. Both lecture-style and hands-on practice in vascular access and sterile compounding are included. To pass this course, participants must complete all online content and quizzes, successfully complete 10 vascular insertions, osmolarity exercises and demonstrate proficiency in sterile compounding. To become IVIT-Certified, you must pass this course and CONO’s IVIT Exam.
Lecture-Style Content: 100% online and on-demand. Enjoy at home learning on your own schedule with no travel costs! Watch the recordings and pass the quizzes by Sunday November 29, 2020 to get CE credits, and demonstrate that you understand the course content. Have course content questions? Course instructors will hold 3 online ‘Office Hour’ sessions the weeks of: November 9, November 16 and November 23. We will schedule registrants in for these shortly.
Hands-On Content: Held in-person at the Marsden Clinic. To pass the course you must successfully complete 10 insertions and demonstrate proficiency in sterile compounding. We take the safety of our attendees, instructors and TAs very seriously. We’re reducing the number of course registrants, increasing PPE, and attendees will stay in the same small group to perform all hands-on activities on these dates: Saturday November 21, Sunday November 22, Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29. We will schedule registrants in for these shortly. Because of the unpredictable public health situation this Fall, we ask that you make refundable travel arrangements for the in-person course dates.
Registrants will receive online lecture recordings, resources and quizzes the week of November 2, 2020. You must complete all online course content and quizzes by Sunday November 29, 2020. Dr. Marsden, ND has assured us this will give you ample time to complete the content and quizzes.
Dr. Eric Marsden, B.Sc, ND; Dr. Ruth Anne Baron, ND
CONO- 30 Category A Credits (IVIT – Pending)

Exam registration is now open and closes November 9, 2020. We suggest you register ASAP for the CONO exam if you plan to take our Fall 2020 course, and want to sit the exam as soon as possible. What if Public Health Rules Change and Forbid You from Holding the Hands-On Portions This Fall?

You have 2 years from completing online course content to do the hands-on activities. We run this course Spring and Fall each year. You also have 2 years from completing our course to sit the CONO IVIT exam. Because of the unpredictable public health situation this Fall, we ask that you make refundable travel arrangements for the in-person course dates.
Free parking is available at the Marsden Clinic.
Lunch & Refreshments
In keeping with public health rules, we will not provide lunch or refreshments for the Fall 2020 session.
There are no refunds as all course content is online. Remember: even if we have to cancel the hands-on activities for this Fall 2020 session, you have 2 years to do the hands-on activities at a future course date, and 2 years to sit the CONO exam.
