Spring 2017 IVIT Certification Course Registration Form

No one in Ontario has been allowed to run the IVIT course for the last two years, and we are pleased to announce that the OAND will be the first organization to run a CONO-approved IVIT Certification course in 2016! We’ve revised and expanded the course to remain in compliance with the new regulations, and the course is now better and more clinically relevant than ever, with expanded hands-on practical components. We gratefully acknowledge the support of our Educational Sponsor, York Downs Pharmacy.

IVIT FAQ

Q: How long do I have after I take the IVIT Certification course to write the IVIT exam?

A: As per CONO’s policy: “Candidates are provided three (3) attempts to successfully complete the IVIT examination and must do so within two (2) years of the date of their successful completion of the IVIT training course.”

A: No. The OAND runs the course, CONO runs the exam. You must register and pay for the exam through CONO.

Q: I have more questions about the IVIT exam, such as: What is the cost? When is the exam? What will be on the exam? Where will the exam be? Where can I get this information?

A: For all IVIT exam inquiries, please contact CONO’s Exam Coordinator: 416.583.6016; exams@collegeofnaturopaths.on.ca

Q: Now that the IVIT Course is running once again in Ontario, how many times will the OAND be running the course?

This certification course is comprised of a 4-part series of weekend courses and a home-study component preparing for each instructional weekend. This program explores in-depth the sources of exposure to environmental chemical toxicity, how the natural progression of chemical overload may be affecting your patients, selection and interpretation of tests and an intensive exploration of treatment options.

When the journal Alternative and Complementary Therapies asked several practitioners to identify experts in the recognition and treatment of environmental chemical toxicity, one name consistently arose: Dr. Walter J. Crinnion, ND. The OAND is pleased to bring Dr. Crinnion and this intensive, practical, and popular course to Ontario. NDs across Canada now have the opportunity to take this certification course in Toronto, rather than having to travel to the United States, as many Canadian NDs and other practitioners having been doing over the past years.

This certification course is comprised of a 4-part series of weekend courses (see dates above), as well as a home-study component preparing for each instructional weekend (study materials included in course fee). This program explores in-depth the sources of exposure to environmental chemical toxicity, how the natural progression of chemical overload may be affecting your patients, selection and interpretation of tests and an intensive exploration of treatment options. The weekend meetings will be primarily devoted to the application of the lecture material (on the DVDs) to cases from your own practice. Participants are expected to bring cases from their practice to present that will provide learning experiences for all who are present.

Dr. Walter Crinnion, ND is a renowned expert in detoxification and environmental medicine, with peer-reviewed publications and extensive clinical and research experience. Dr. Crinnion was the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians’ “Physician of the Year” in 2004 and is the founder and head of the Environmental Medicine Center of Excellence at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Please see the registration form below for full course details, including a registration form. Registration for this course is limited to 30 participants – all registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis (without exception) and registration will close once the limit for this course has been reached. We regret that we cannot allow additional registrations after the limit for this course has been reached.

Mind-Body Medicine

Disease tells a story, not just about our cells and a diagnosis, but about us and our lives. Listening to this story, we are led to the truth of what happened to us and the emotions that lie at the core of our authentic being. Led by Paul Epstein, ND, this comprehensive training in mind-body skills will teach you how to look and listen within to discover the message and meaning hidden inside pain and symptoms.

Through guided inquiry, silent reflection, meditation, lecture, discussion, case histories, and group support, you will learn to apply the principles of mind-body healing in your clinical practice and your life. This course is experiential and participants are asked to practice the skills being taught.

The Mind-Body Medicine  Training Course is currently not being offered
