The OAND is pleased to welcome the Transitional Council of The College of Naturopaths of Ontario at this year’s annual spring conference and AGM. Mary-Ellen McKenna, ND and President of the transitional Council and Andrew Parr, CAE and Registrar at the College of Naturopaths of Ontario will address members on the role of the transitional Council, provide an outline of the new regulatory framework and answer questions.

Presenters:
Mary-Ellen McKenna, ND – Mary-Ellen McKenna is a Naturopathic Doctor and President of the transitional Council and also sits on the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy, the current regulatory authority. Mary-Ellen graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1994. She practised in a multidisciplinary clinic in Toronto until moving to Port Hope to open her own practice. She has also worked as a Clinic Supervisor at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and as an instructor at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has served in the past on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Andrew Parr, CAE - Andrew Parr is the Registrar, the senior staff position at the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Working with the transitional Council, he provides advice, guidance and support to the transitional Council in its efforts to develop the regulatory framework. Andrew has been working in the not-for-profit section for more than 20 years including eight of which he served as the Executive Director and CEO of the massage therapist association in Ontario.
