OAND Regional Meetings: Political Action to Change Draft Regulations for the Naturopathy Act
Date: Time: Location: | Monday, February 27, 2012 12:00 - 2:00 pm CCNM | ![]() |
Transitional Council’s proposed regulations as submitted to the Ontario government would leave Ontario as one of the most restrictive places to practise. Transitional Council has offered no evidence about why this is the best way forward or how this would benefit patients, the profession or the health care system.
The Ontario government has the power to reject or change transitional Council’s recommendations.
With your support, the OAND is launching a major effort to encourage the Ontario government to understand the importance of making those changes to fully capture the potential of the Naturopathy Act.
The profession has spent the last 21 years trying to fix the problems caused by being initially left out of the Regulated Health Professions Act. If we don’t get the new rules right before they are approved by the government, it may take a few decades to fix them.
Plan to Attend
Attend the meeting being held at CCNM. Get engaged, hear what the issues are and what we need to do so you don’t find your practice restricted before you can even get started.
