OAND Regional Meetings: Political Action to Change Draft Regulations for the Naturopathy Act
| Date: | Wednesday, February 15, 2012 | |

Transitional Council’s proposed regulations as submitted to the Ontario government would leave Ontario as one of the most restrictive places to practise. Transitional Council has offered no evidence about why this is the best way forward or how this would benefit patients, the profession or the health care system.
The Ontario government has the power to reject or change transitional Council’s recommendations.
With your support, the OAND is launching a major effort to encourage the Ontario government to understand the importance of making those changes to fully capture the potential of the Naturopathy Act.
The profession has spent the last 21 years trying to fix the problems caused by being initially left out of the Regulated Health Professions Act. If we don’t get the new rules right before they are approved by the government, it may take another few decades to fix them.
Please Plan to Attend
February weather can be challenging, but we have only a small window of opportunity to make the case for needed changes. Regional meetings are being held to discuss concerns, share ideas, address your questions, and plan for action.
