This presentation will discuss the metabolic activity of mitochondria and its role in aging, the role of nutrients in mitochondrial function, along with specifics on mitochondrial glutathione’s role in aging, research outlining how reactive oxygen species (ROS) increases electron leakage in the respiratory chain, and information on conventional drugs, environmental chemicals such as POPs, and other unique factors associated with long-term mitochondrial damage and the diseases that result.
